A THANK YOU NOTE

Thank you M C D. Thanks a lot. When the whole world is striving madly to save fuel, you are striving madly to waste it, the more the merrier, it seems.

How? You gave road contracts to such people who ate up the roads. Of course the contractors are only trying to fill their stomachs and those of their coming 150 generations and not to forget those of M C D officials .Any sixth standard student can tell, if a road has pot holes, it takes extra fuel to maneuver in and out and around them. Delhi’s roads are so full of pot holes, even Old Stone Age man would not like to walk on them.

Thank you OC of the C W G. Thanks a lot, for putting India on the world map once more. But this time people are all but spitting at India. England is hosting the 2012 Olympics and their stadia & other infrastructure are ready even now. But you couldn’t even arrange for clean toilets or bed sheets for our esteemed delegates. Also many thanks for over spending almost 80 times on the CWG. Of course you will not feel the increase in prices. If the OC members don’t work anymore. I think they can easily live out 10 lifetimes like kings. That was a brilliant piece of work, wasn’t it?

Thank you England. Thanks a lot. For what? You came to India as traders, saw our wealth. You saw our “beauteous halo circled round our brow”. You got jealous. Why should any other country be more powerful than you? So you pulled up your sleeves and went to work. You robbed, yes robbed our resources from under our noses and made us believe that it was for our good. And when that wasn’t enough, you injected your corruption into our genes. This corruption is so deep rooted today that people are willing to kill their own family members for wealth & power. Why wealth, because you taught our grand parents & great grand parents what it meant to be hungry. This same lesson has come down from generation. ‘Make money get rich soon , by hook or by crook murder , loot , rob , take bribes , give bribes , do anything but get rich . Get so rich that even if many generations after you don’t work, they will still be able to live luxurious lives;

So today, people pay heavy bribes or try to make the highest bids for the most profitable positions. Be it in the police, politics or even departments of developments. No need to wonder why there has been a spurt in the number of students striving to become I A S or I P S or other such officers.

Are there any solutions to India’s problems? I guess not. At least not until every person here gets a complete blood transfusion to rid us of the virus of corruption. Also there may be a chance if people start, actually start thinking of India as my country my home instead of just a plot of land from where I can dig out soil and sell it to someone.

Oh my beloved country! When will you be truly free? Cannibals ate one another because there was shortage of food, but today the rich eat up the poor, without a second’s thought. When will this story change? When will we Indians learn to SHARE??
